West Valley Tournament

Haylee's tournament this weekend was in West Valley. The weather lately has not been very softball friendly. It has rained everyday for the past 2 weeks. We lucked out Friday, it didn't start to sprinkle until softball was done for the day. We won all 3 games. Today was a little diffrent. We won the first game today to put us in the championship game. Just before game time the rain came, and came, and came! The fields flooded and they called the tournament. We were the only undefeated team, but because it was a triple crown qualifier we will have to finish the game at a later date.

ODP

Haylee tried out for UT ODP (Olympic Development Program) team. They take the best 45 players in her age group and make a team. She practiced and trained with them all winter long. Practice was held at the U of U and BYU indoor facilities. The end of the season they took the girls and divided them up into 4 teams and they played against each other. Haylee was one of 17 other girls that were also chosen to play on a traveling tournament team this summer. Good Job Haylee!! (Haylee is red #5)

Londyn Playing Softball

Londyn's team this year was called the Glory. She hasn't enjoyed softball as well as I wish she would have. She has really good potential. She has already informed me that she will not be playing next year. I guess we will try dance or cheer?

Ephraim, UT Softball Tournament

Haylee's second tournament this summer was in Ephraim, UT. This is about 2 1/2 hours south of Layton. The girls played really well and took first place! Haylee played centerfield and 3rd base. One time at bat she squared around for a bunt and the ball hit her pointer finger leaving a large blood blister that I had to pop twice before the next game. One of the grandmas was helping her. The championship game didn't start until after 10:30pm. The game didn't finish until 12:30am! The weather was wet and cold!

St. George Tournament

Haylee and her Surge softball team had the opportunity to play in a softball tournament in St. George. We were hoping for some fun in the sun! But it was rainy & cold! Despite the weather the girls played awesome and took first place in the tournament! The last picture is Crew and his cousin Reese.

Prom Night

This was Tyler's Jr. Prom. He went with his friend Alex. She looked beautiful too. Unfortuantly Tyler did not take one picture of her or their activitis. They both said they had a fun time.

Snowmobiling

Rick and Janell invited us for a weekend get together. We all stayed at a cabin in the mountains of Heber, UT. The cabin and scenery were beautiful! Janell's parents, brother Blake and his family were also there. We had so much fun snowmobiling, sledding, playing board games, cards and enjoying each others company. Thanks for the invite Ricky and Nell, we loved it!

Christmas Day

On Christmas eve we decorated sugar cookies for Santa. The kids had a good time! Crew enjoyed making a mess more than decorating cookies. On Christmas Day Grandma Jackie and Grandpa Gary came over to watch the kids open their gifts. This year Crew was very excited about the gifts. It only took one gift to understand how to unwrap them. I only caught him once opening a gift before Christmas. The kids were very happy about the gifts they got. After opening our gifts I made breakfast for everyone. It was a great day!
